WIRE TRANSFER

We can wire money from your accounts at the credit union to any other financial institution both in the United States and around the globe.

Transferring funds from your account at Maine Education Credit Union to an account at another institution (either
yours or someone else's) can be accomplished quickly and securely via a wire transfer. Follow these easy steps:

• Obtain the wire instructions for the institution where the funds are to be sent.
• Obtain the name and account number that is to receive credit for the funds.
• Contact the credit union at 1-800-464-3773 or 207 623-3857 with the above information.

Generally, funds can be sent and received the same day provided we are notified by 12:00 pm. Allow additional
time for foreign wires. The cost is $20 for domestic wires and $40 for foreign wires.
Fees can be deducted right from your account.
 

Members can also have funds sent to their account here at the credit union via wire transfer.
